When: Saturday, April 13th, 2013 from 1pm-4pm
Where: Boca Fiesta, 232 SE 1st Street in Gainesville
What: Come join us for lunch before the event at Boca Fiesta/The Backyard from 12-1 p.m. The event will take place from 1-4 pm and will be followed by an evening happy hour social back at Boca Fiesta Restaurant in order to encourage Gainesville residents to join together, have fun and get to know their community!
Scavenger hunt registration and kickoff will take place during the lunch special at Boca Fiesta. All teams must meet at Boca Fiesta by 1 p.m. A presentation of the rules and photo challenges will take place between 1 -1:30 p.m Registered individuals will be grouped together to form a team of five. On-site registration will begin at 1 p.m. and the event will start 1:30 p.m. The advance registration fee is $5 for individuals and $20 for a team of five. The on-site registration fee is $7 for individuals and $28 for teams of five.

Where: CYM Coffee Co at 5402 NW 8th Avenue in Gainesville
What: Come and enjoy a Friday evening out at CYM Coffee Co. Taste up to 7 local wines from Island Grove Wine Co and cheese from Cabot Cheese while listening to acoustic stylings from a local Gainesville band. Cost is $12 in advance or $15 at the door. All proceeds benefit Project Gainesville. Everyone who attends will be entered into a raffle drawing which includes 3 Gift Baskets donated by each of our sponsors. Friday Art Fest
Friday Art Fest takes place every fourth Friday from 7pm to midnight in conjunction with Artwalk Gainesville. Each month we highlight more than 30 artists and crafts people along with live music from local bands, a full bar, and a selection of tasty food from Celebrations Catering. Gainesville Community Fest
Gainesville Community Fest is Gainesville’s premier annual family festival. Community Fest brings together hundreds of local businesses, clubs, artists, musicians, and nonprofit organizations in an effort to educate residents about the area and to build strong community bonds. Paynes Prairie 5K and Half Marathon:
Project Gainesville’s inaugural 5K race was a successful trail run held in the fall of 2012 at Paynes Prairie State Park. Proceeds benefited Project Gainesville and the Friends of Paynes Prairie. In the fall of 2013, we’ll be sponsoring a 5K and half-marathon at Paynes Prairie. Check our upcoming events page in the near future for more information.
Photo Scavenger Hunt:
Every few months, Project Gainesville sponsors a photo scavenger hunt in order to encourage Gainesville residents to join together, have fun and get to know their community. The events usually take place on Saturday afternoons from 1-4pm. Check our upcoming events page for information regarding our next photo scavenger hunt.
Weekly Events:
Project Gainesville sponsors the Gainesville Dining and Nightlife Meetup Group and the Gainesville Adventure Meetup Group. Both groups provide area residents with excellent opportunities to try new things and meet new people. There is no cost to join and there are no annual fees.
